At the units visited, comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu informed the officers and soldiers about the socio-economic situation of the province. On the afternoon of January 20, Comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee led a working delegation of the province to visit and extend New Year greetings to the 414th Engineering Brigade (Nam Dan) and present New Year gifts to poor households and policy families in Do Luong district. Accompanying the delegation were representatives of the following departments: Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Provincial Police, Provincial Military Command, and Provincial Fatherland Front Committee.

At the 414th Engineer Brigade, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee informed the officers and soldiers about the province's socio-economic situation in 2019; acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts and results achieved by the unit in the past year.

In addition to the core task of training and combat readiness, the Brigade is also assigned by the Military Region many tasks such as: Building a combat program; clearing mines and explosives in all directions; building internal works; participating in fire prevention and fighting in Nam Dan district - Nghe An, Nghi Xuan district - Ha Tinh; helping people overcome the consequences of floods and storms in Quan Hoa district, Thanh Hoa province; hosting the Military Region Sports Festival...

The unit was awarded a Certificate of Merit and many other prizes by the Ministry of National Defense, the Military Region 4 Command and the Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee.

On behalf of the working delegation, comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu highly appreciated the Brigade's efforts in completing its tasks, especially in the fields of search and rescue, fire prevention and fighting, contributing to minimizing the damage caused by forest fires to socio-economic development as well as people's lives.
