On the evening of August 30, at the 12/9 cinema (Thanh Vinh ward), a long line of people patiently lined up to buy tickets to see the movie “Red Rain”. Many viewers said that if they wanted tickets, they had to “hunt” very early, because just a few minutes after going on sale, all the screenings were quickly full.

Amidst the crowd eagerly waiting to buy tickets on the evening of August 30, Ms. Nguyen Thi Lien (Vinh Phu ward) and her two daughters shared that they had been looking forward to the holiday to enjoy the movie “Red Rain”.

Ms. Lien said: “I want my children to directly experience stories about a heroic period in Vietnamese history. The children are very excited, and I feel proud that young people are interested and eager for films with historical value like this.”

Not only young families, many older audiences also consider this a special experience. After watching, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, Vinh Loc ward, was moved: "This is a good film, full of emotions, recalling historical memories, raising national pride. I believe that everyone who watches it will leave the theater with many thoughts."

According to the staff of the 12/9 theater, the number of viewers coming to buy tickets to see the movie “Red Rain” these days has increased many times compared to other movies. All the main screenings were full, many viewers even had to book tickets in advance or accept to watch at late hours, showing the special attraction of the movie.

Not only at the 12/9 theater but also at other cinemas in Vinh City (old) also recorded a sharp increase in the number of people booking tickets to see the movie "Red Rain".

According to statistics, as of the afternoon of August 30, after more than a week of showing, “Red Rain” – a work produced by the People’s Army Cinema has reached nearly 275 billion VND in revenue and is expected to reach 300 billion VND in the next few days. This is a record number, unprecedented for a Vietnamese film about war.
