Delegation of Nghe An province visited and worked with the government of Gyeonggi province, Korea
(Baonghean.vn) - Implementing activities to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Korea, a delegation of Nghe An province led by Mr. Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee visited and worked in Korea from September 14 to 19, 2022.

The delegation included leaders of the Departments of Foreign Affairs, Industry and Trade, Southeast Economic Zone Management Board and the Provincial Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion.
On September 16, within the framework of a working trip to Korea, the delegation had a working session with Mr. Yeom Tae Young - Vice Governor of Gyeonggi Province.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Dinh Long emphasized that in recent years, the relationship between Vietnam and Korea has developed rapidly and best. If Korea considers Vietnam a key partner in its New Southward Policy, in recent years, Nghe An province has always considered Korea as one of the leading important partners for cooperation and development, and at the same time determined that Korea will be one of the key partners for cooperation in the province's International Integration Strategy with a vision of 2030 - 2035.
Nghe An Province and Gyeonggi Province signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish friendly and cooperative relations in 2009 and re-signed in 2014. At the city level, Vinh City and Namyangju City established relations in 2005. After 13 years of cooperation, the two provinces have carried out activities in the fields of economy, culture - society, humanitarian aid, etc.

However, the cooperation results have not been commensurate with the potential of both sides. Therefore, at the meeting, Comrade Bui Dinh Long proposed a number of activities to renew the relationship as well as enhance the effectiveness of cooperation in the coming time, such as organizing delegation exchanges to connect businesses of both sides; organizing conferences and seminars on investment, trade and tourism; organizing Famtrip and Presstrip delegations to survey tourism products and services and participate in cultural and tourism activities and events organized by both sides; strongly promoting educational and training cooperation activities to complement each other for mutual development.
Nghe An is the educational center of the North Central region of Vietnam with 7 universities and dozens of vocational schools. Nghe An students are famous for being intelligent and good at studying, always in the top of Vietnam. Therefore, Nghe An province hopes that the Deputy Governor will pay attention to directing relevant levels to connect colleges and universities on both sides to cooperate and exchange programs according to the needs of both sides.

On this occasion, Comrade Bui Dinh Long invited the Governor and Vice Governor of Gyeonggi Province to arrange a visit and work in Nghe An - the hometown of President Ho Chi Minh as soon as possible, in order to further deepen the relationship between the two provinces.
Mr. Yeom Tae Young - Vice Governor of Gyeonggi Province said that in recent years, Gyeonggi-do Province has strengthened cooperation activities with provinces and cities of Vietnam in all fields, including local medical training. As Vice Governor of Gyeonggi Province, Mr. Yeom Tae Young will do his best to further promote cooperation activities between the two provinces as well as the two countries in the coming time, especially in the fields of trade, investment and tourism.
On the same afternoon, the delegation also visited the Pan-Gyo Industrial Complex in Seongnam City, Geyonggi Province. This is a core industrial cluster of the science and technology innovation industry, a global research, startup and R&D center, focusing on advanced information and communication technology, biotechnology, cultural technology and nanotechnology./.
