The Central delegation of the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association commemorates the heroic martyrs in Anh Son
(Baonghean.vn) - Within the framework of the visit and work in Nghe An, on the afternoon of July 18, the Central delegation of the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association held an incense offering ceremony at Uncle Ho's Temple and the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs in Anh Son District (Nghe An).
The delegation was led by comrade Tran Van Tuy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Deputy Head of theCentral Organizing Committee, President of the Central Committee of Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association led.
On the Lao side, there was comrade Xeng-phet Hung-bun-nhuong, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao People's Democratic Republic to Vietnam.
On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrade Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, together with representatives of the Office of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, the Office of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of relevant departments and branches and the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association of Nghe An province.

In the afternoon, the delegation visited Uncle Ho Temple and the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs at the Vietnam - Laos International Friendship Cemetery in Anh Son district to offer incense and flowers in gratitude on the occasion of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, July 27.

Here, the delegation expressed their gratitude for the great contributions of Uncle Ho and the brave sacrifices of the heroes and martyrs in the struggle for national liberation of Vietnam and for the Lao revolution; at the same time, they promised to do their utmost to build and foster the solidarity, friendship and brotherly cooperation between Vietnam and Laos to be forever green and sustainable.

On this occasion, the delegation presented gifts to 10 families of war invalids and martyrs in Anh Son district and to veterans in Anh Son and Con Cuong districts; and to Lao students studying in Vietnam.
