Provincial National Assembly Delegation visits and presents gifts at Ethnic Boarding High School
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of January 22, the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province organized a program to donate books and facilities to the Library of the Provincial Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities, where nearly 650 students from 9 ethnic groups are currently studying.

Attending were the National Assembly Deputies of Nghe An: Thai Thi An Chung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Hoang Minh Hieu - Standing Member of the National Assembly's Law Committee; Tran Nhat Minh - Full-time National Assembly Deputies; Hoang Thi Thu Hien - Permanent Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union. Also attending were representatives of the Department of Education and Training.
The Provincial Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities was established in 1984, currently has nearly 650 students, distributed in 18 classes, including 9 ethnic groups: Thai, Mong, Kho Mu, O Du, Tho, Kinh, Tay, Nung and Dan Lai. The school directly admits O Du ethnic students, and examines and selects ethnic minority and Kinh students from areas with particularly difficult economic conditions in 11 districts and towns.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Thai Thi An Chung - Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation said that, in addition to performing its main tasks, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation also pays attention to social work, coordinating with the National Assembly Library and the Institute of Vietnamese Studies to present more than 2,500 books, including Literature and Foreign Language books... to students of the Provincial Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities, along with equipment to equip the school's library.

He encouraged students - the future generation of the country - to actively explore new horizons of knowledge in parallel with preserving and promoting the cultural identity of the ethnic groups in the Western regions of Nghe An.
The provincial National Assembly delegation also hopes that in the coming time, when the Covid-19 epidemic is under control, the teachers and students of the school can visit the Vietnam National Assembly building - the place that decides the most important issues of the country.

Teacher Nguyen Thi Kieu Hoa - Principal of the Provincial Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities thanked the practical and meaningful gift from the Provincial National Assembly Deputies for the school's Library, where students spend a lot of time researching and improving their knowledge after class hours, and pledged to use it effectively and for the right purpose.
