Provincial National Assembly Delegation receives support from Vietnamese Heroic Mother
(Baonghean.vn) - Responding to the policy of the Provincial People's Committee on taking care of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in Official Dispatch No. 7241/UBND-VX dated September 29, 2016, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation took care of Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Lam, 95 years old, in Hamlet 7, Thanh An Commune, Thanh Chuong District.

Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Lam has 2 children who are martyrs; 1 child is a 1/4 disabled veteran. Currently, Lam's mother is living with her youngest son. 4 years ago, she had a stroke and has been bedridden ever since.
On the occasion of International Women's Day, today (March 8), the leaders of the National Assembly Delegation, including two Deputy Heads of the National Assembly Delegation: Nguyen Thanh Hien and Tran Van Mao, visited and presented gifts to mother Nguyen Thi Lam.

Accordingly, every month, the National Assembly Delegation will allocate 1 million VND from the agency's welfare fund to help the family take care of the mother; at the same time, it will support the mother's health care when the family requests.
In addition, on national holidays and Tet, the National Assembly delegation will also visit, give gifts and encourage mothers both spiritually and materially. This is a meaningful humanitarian act, promoting the nation's morality of "Repaying gratitude".
