(Baonghean.vn) - On November 29, implementing the program to support people in difficult circumstances due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province led by comrade Thai Thi An Chung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation went to Dien Dong commune (Dien Chau) to present gifts to support 2 orphans.

The delegation presented gifts to two children: Bui Minh Quan (born in 2012) and Bui Lan Anh (2016), siblings whose mother, Tran Thi Huong, previously worked in Binh Duong province and died due to the Covid-19 epidemic. Two gifts, each worth 3,000,000 VND in cash, warm clothes, and children's toys.

On behalf of the delegation, comrade Thai Thi An Chung visited, encouraged, and shared the family's losses, and hoped that the family would try to overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives soon, especially care for the two children. She also requested local authorities at all levels to pay attention, share, and create all conditions to help the family of the two children in the coming time, including a policy to support Mr. Bui Van Toan - father of Quan and Lan Anh to find stable jobs in their hometown.

According to statistics from the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Nghe An province, from May 24 to November 25, 2021, the whole province had hundreds of children infected with Covid-19, 6,556 children had to be quarantined according to the decision of the competent State agency (F1); 15 children were children of pregnant women infected with Covid-19; 9 children were orphaned by either parent due to the Covid-19 epidemic and thousands of children were in difficult circumstances due to being affected by the epidemic.

In the past time, in addition to implementing the direction of the National Assembly and the Government on regimes and policies for subjects affected by the Covid-19 epidemic, the Nghe An Provincial Children's Support Fund has called on organizations and businesses to organize 3 support programs for 2,611 children affected by the Covid-19 epidemic with a total amount of more than 1.4 billion VND.

Along with that, the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province, through meetings and meetings with voters in localities, has attached practical activities to support vulnerable groups in society to stabilize their lives, especially aiming at support programs for students to have living and studying conditions in the complicated developments of the Covid-19 pandemic.
