Korean Enterprises: 'Nghe An's Investment Environment Is Irresistibly Attractive'

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 7, the Provincial People's Committee had a working session with a delegation of enterprises from the Gaeseong Industrial Park Council (Korea) to discuss and answer questions about Nghe An's preferential investment policies for foreign investors.

Attending the working session on behalf of Nghe An province were comrade Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, representatives of leaders of a number of provincial departments, branches and sectors, leaders of districts/towns: Cua Lo, Thai Hoa, Nghia Dan, Thanh Chuong, Hoang Mai and Quynh Luu. Also attending were representatives of two major investors VSIP and Hemaraj who are investing in Nghe An.

On the side of the Korean business delegation, there was Mr. Jeong Gi Seob - General Director of SNG Company, Head of the delegation, along with leaders of many businesses belonging to the Gaeseong Industrial Zone Council.

At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Hoa reaffirmed the preferential policies that Nghe An offers to potential foreign investors, which were highlighted within the framework of the investment promotion program in Seoul, South Korea in mid-October.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Hoa emphasized the province's incentives in attracting foreign investment.

Nghe An has many advantages, being the hometown of President Ho Chi Minh and the only province to have a resolution issued by the Politburo to develop the province into a center of the North Central region. In order to attract investment, the Nghe An provincial government is committed to supporting businesses in site clearance, supporting costs for site leveling to build factories, training human resources, and providing tax exemptions and reductions if investing in localities with preferential or special investment incentives.

In addition, labor and material costs in Nghe An are always competitive compared to other provinces and cities across the country. Enterprises wishing to invest in industrial parks in the area are provided with maximum support in terms of factories, technical infrastructure of electricity, water, transportation to the factory fence, etc.

“I believe that foreign investors will find it difficult to resist the attraction of the favorable investment environment in Nghe An,” Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Hoa emphasized.

Mr. Jeong Gi Seob - General Director of SNG Company said that Korean enterprises are very interested in investment opportunities in Nghe An.

On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Jeong Gi Seob thanked the leaders of Nghe An province for their special attention to Korean enterprises, highly appreciated the solid and detailed information introduced in Nghe An's investment promotion activities in Seoul, which was a premise to urge enterprises to organize a field survey before deciding to invest in this potential land.

Also at the meeting, many Korean enterprises expressed their interest in the conditions and preferential policies for investment in Nghe An, especially incentives on taxes, land rent, conditions for importing machinery and equipment, expert visas, skills and foreign language proficiency of local workers, etc.

These questions were all answered thoroughly and in detail by provincial leaders and representatives of departments and branches, providing potential investors with the clearest view, further strengthening their determination to invest in production and business in Nghe An.
