Welcome to Duc Nam communal house historical relic

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 30, the People's Committee of Van Dien commune (Nam Dan) solemnly held a ceremony to receive the certificate of historical relic of Duc Nam communal house.

Duc Nam Communal House in Bac Son Hamlet, Van Dien Commune, worships Nam Son - one of the generals of King Mai Hac De, who had great merit in repelling the Tang army. The communal house was built in the 18th century, consisting of 3 compartments, 2 wings made of ironwood, roofed with yin-yang tiles.

Representative of Nghe An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism awarded the Certificate of Provincial Historical Relic of Duc Nam communal house to Van Dien commune.

During the years 1930 - 1931, the communal house was the meeting place of the Van Dien commune Party cell, the Red Peasant Association, the Red Self-Defense Force, the Women's Liberation Association and was a place to hang the Party flag, gathering a large number of people.

After the August Revolution, the communal house was the headquarters of the Provisional Administrative Resistance Committee of Van Dien commune; the nursing training school, the headquarters of the K43 Surgical Station of Inter-zone 4; the commune's primary school; the gathering place for Southern troops and the headquarters of the agricultural cooperative.

Bringing the Certificate of Historical Relic recognition to Duc Nam Communal House.

With hundreds of years of history and great significance to the community, Duc Nam communal house was recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as a Provincial Historical Relic in Decision No. 5486/QD - UBND signed on November 24, 2015.

At the ceremony, representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An awarded the Certificate of recognition of Duc Nam Communal House Historical Relic to Van Dien Commune. This is an opportunity for everyone to review history and educate pride in the traditions of Van Dien in particular and Nam Dan in general.

Up to now, Nam Dan district has had 170 relics inventoried and classified, of which 33 relics are ranked as National and Provincial Historical Relics.
