Chau Khe Border Guard Station: Helping people develop socio-economy

Chau Khe Border Guard Station is responsible for managing 24 km of border line and M5 landmark along with 10 villages and hamlets in Chau Khe commune (Con Cuong - Nghe An). Despite many difficulties due to complex terrain and limited education level of the people, in recent times, officers and soldiers of the station have regularly coordinated with the local government and forces to patrol the border line and landmarks, ensuring sovereignty and border security.

Chau Khe Border Guard Station is responsible for managing 24 km of border line and M5 landmark along with 10 villages and hamlets in Chau Khe commune (Con Cuong - Nghe An). Despite many difficulties due to complex terrain and limited education level of the people, in recent times, officers and soldiers of the station have regularly coordinated with the local government and forces to patrol the border line and landmarks, ensuring sovereignty and border security.


The station also implements the policy of helping people in border areas develop their economy, coordinating with local Party committees and authorities to build and consolidate the grassroots political system by sending Party members to participate in activities at weak Party cells. Specifically, in Khe Bu and Chau Son Party cells. These are two villages of the Dan Lai ethnic group, with many difficulties in economic and social life and low educational level, which limits the reception and implementation of the Party and State's policies.

In particular, the officers and soldiers of the station have done specific and practical work to help local people develop the economy and reduce poverty. Such as helping 6 households in Khe Bu village develop livestock farming and grow crops; Sending officers to guide how to build barns and livestock farming techniques. Thanks to the help of the station, the Dan Lai people in Khe Bu village have expanded and developed an additional 5 hectares of crop area. In addition, the Chau Khe Border Guard Station Command actively coordinated with organizations and unions to build solidarity houses and houses for the poor according to Decision 167/QD-TTg. At the same time, promoting propaganda to implement the policy of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses according to Decision 167.


Lieutenant Colonel Dang Xuan Thanh, Chief of Chau Khe Border Guard Station, said: "In the coming time, we will continue to help people promote socio-economic development with specific and practical actions, expanding the model of lending capital for production and developing household economy. Coordinate with the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises to build 5 more solidarity houses. Advise the commune government and village management board to build Khe Bu village into a model village for socio-economic development."
