Welcome the magical dawn on the top of Truong Son Dong

In March, when the cotton tree flowers begin to bloom all over the hillsides, it is also the time when clouds fill the valleys at dawn on the top of Truong Son Dong, Son Tay district (Quang Ngai).

The sun rises over the hilltop to welcome the new day, the sea of ​​clouds drifts through the valleys creating a poetic beauty here.

In the early morning, Provincial Road 623 leading to the center of Son Tay mountainous district appears and disappears among the wild mountains and forests.

The Kadong people's villages are located around terraced fields, creating a peaceful highland picture.

"Coming to the mountainous district of Son Tay, we had the opportunity to explore the terraced fields on the slopes of Truong Son Dong hill and felt like we were lost in the majestic nature of the Northwest," said Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City.

The winding terraced fields create a rare poetic landscape in the mountains and forests below the Truong Son Dong mountain range.

Not only can visitors climb to the top of Truong Son Dong to welcome the sunrise in the valley of clouds, they can also join the "buffalo eating" festival with the villagers here. Every year, from March to April, villagers in the mountainous district of Son Tay organize pole making, buffalo stabbing to worship the gods and gong dance performances, praying for a bountiful harvest and good health.

The leaders of Son Tay district shared that the most valuable assets in this land are the honest, hospitable people and the preservation of the unique cultural identity of the Kadong people. The land here has a cool climate all year round, good soil, suitable for growing fruit trees, medicinal herbs associated with developing tourism services.

The bright red cotton flowers attract many birds to come and collect nectar, creating an unforgettable moment in the hearts of visitors.

Coming to Son Tay, visitors can also take a boat to explore Dakdrinh hydroelectric reservoir, which is considered "Ha Long Bay on land" in the highlands of Quang Ngai.
