Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son beats the drum to open the new school year at Phuc Tho Secondary School

(Baonghean.vn) - This morning, comrade Nguyen Xuan Son, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council attended the opening ceremony and shared the joy of Back to School Day with students.Phuc Tho Secondary School (Nghi Loc).

Attending the ceremony were leaders of the Department of Education and Training, Nghe An Provincial Youth Union, leaders of Nghi Loc district and businesses sponsoring poor students.

Phuc Tho Secondary School welcomes the new school year with 407 students in all grades. At the end of the 2015-2016 school year, Phuc Tho Secondary School continues to maintain its educational quality, with over 55% of students achieving good academic performance, including 1 student achieving provincial excellence, 52 students achieving district excellence, and the school meeting national standards; the school’s facilities for teaching and learning are constantly being invested in, ensuring good teaching and learning conditions.

Reading the opening speech at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Dai, Principal of the School, affirmed the high determination of Phuc Tho Secondary School in the 2016-2017 school year: teachers and students of the School overcome difficulties, determined to make every effort to achieve and exceed the set targets and plans, striving to be in the top of the district's secondary schools.

Beating the drum to welcome the new school year and speaking at the opening ceremony, comrade Nguyen Xuan Son, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, praised the achievements of the school's teachers. He hoped that the teachers and all students of Phuc Tho Secondary School would continue to promote the tradition of good teaching and good learning, continue to implement solutions to fundamentally and comprehensively innovate education and training in the spirit of Resolution No. 29 of the Party Central Committee, actively contributing to building more achievements of overcoming difficulties, studiousness and good learning in the homeland.

Also at the opening ceremony, representatives of VNPT Nghe An, Vietnam Coast Guard and Thien Hoang Company presented gifts to poor students who overcame difficulties to study well, and students with excellent achievements in the 2015-2016 school year./.
