Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son: Overcoming the situation of "old bamboo but young shoots have not grown"

Party cell of hamlet 5, Nghi Trung commune (Nghi Loc district) has 16 party members. In recent years, implementing the Resolution of the congress for the 2017-2020 term, the Party cell has focused on leading the people to transform the economic structure, crop structure and seasons with many outstanding results: closing 100% of rice area in all seasons with the seed structure and crop calendar ensuring compliance with local instructions; successfully restoring the L14 peanut variety, linking with the construction of large-scale fields; maintaining the total herd of Sind crossbred cows, pigs and increasing the total herd of chickens, geese, ducks... helping to improve people's material life; the poverty rate has decreased to 5.1%.

Along with directing economic development, the Party Cell resolutely directed and mobilized people to contribute, on average 1.2 million VND per person, to upgrade the rural transport system, build clean water supply works, 99% of households have access to clean water; build lighting systems for each household.

The Party Cell has also seriously implemented the Resolutions and Directives of the Party at all levels, especially Directive 05 of the Politburo, promoting the exemplary role of leaders, cadres and Party members in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle. Taking care of building the Party and building a strong political system.

In addition to the achieved results, at the Party cell meeting, many concerns were raised by Party members for the Party cell to continue to pay attention to, lead and direct. These include building relationships and leadership of the Party cell with the government when the hamlet chief is not a Party member; creating a vibrant forum in mass organizations to attract union members and members to participate, thereby building positive factors, introducing resources to the Party; the issue of ideological and moral education for the younger generation; ensuring security and order in rural areas...

Speaking at the meeting, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Xuan Son highly appreciated the role and leadership effectiveness of Party Cell 5 in recent times; at the same time, he also highly appreciated the quality of Party Cell activities, from the methodical management of the Party Cell Secretary to the quality and intellectual participation of Party members, discussing the key tasks of the Party Cell and the hamlet.

Hamlet 5 has 116 households with 476 people, each person has different thoughts, circumstances and desires. Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son said that in order to gather the strength and consensus of all people to build an increasingly better common life, the role of the Party Cell and Party members in solidarity, pioneering and exemplary is very important and suggested that the Party Cell should focus on and promote this issue.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also suggested that the Party Cell, in addition to maintaining full Party Cell meetings, should increase thematic meetings, discussing specific issues of the Party Cell and the hamlet, such as improving the quality of activities of mass organizations; Party member development work; organizing agricultural production focusing on improving product quality, ensuring food safety and hygiene; vocational training to shift the labor structure; building a cultural lifestyle in residential areas, etc.

In Party cell activities, it is necessary to pay attention to providing official information to Party members so that they can firmly believe in the policies of the Party and State and take the right actions, creating trust and support for the people, avoiding being exploited by hostile forces to sabotage and create negative public opinion among the people.
