Comrade Vo Van Thuong met with the Head of the Central Propaganda Department of the Communist Party of China
On the afternoon of January 13, at Diaoyutai State Guesthouse, Comrade Vo Van Thuong, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department, met and worked with Comrade Liu Qibao, Politburo member, Head of the Central Propaganda Department of the Communist Party of China.
The two sides were pleased to note that in recent times, the exchange and cooperation between the Central Propaganda Department of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Central Propaganda Department of the Communist Party of China have achieved many practical results, contributing to enhancing understanding and trust between the people of the two countries and consolidating a favorable social foundation for the development of Vietnam-China bilateral relations.

The two sides have increased exchanges and cooperation between news agencies and newspapers of the two countries to inform about the political, economic and social situation of each country; promoted bilateral cooperation in the fields of culture, education and people-to-people exchange; and exchanged experiences in Party building, theoretical and ideological work, enriching the theoretical treasure of Marxism-Leninism.
The two sides affirmed to persistently promote cooperation between the two Committees, discuss the key points of cooperation in propaganda work and measures to improve the effectiveness of cooperation between the two sides in 2017. The two sides were pleased with the results of the talks between the two General Secretaries with many meaningful contents guiding the cooperation between the two Parties and the two countries, serving as a basis for cooperation activities in the field of propaganda between the two sides.
The two sides emphasized the need to enhance exchanges and cooperation between news agencies and newspapers, share experiences in managing information on the internet, and enhance cultural, educational and youth exchanges and cooperation, thereby enhancing understanding and consolidating a favorable social foundation for the healthy, stable and long-term development of Vietnam-China relations for the benefit of the people of the two countries. In addition, the two sides also discussed the coordination of organizing the 13th Theoretical Exchange Workshop between the two Parties in China in 2017.
On the same day, Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh met and worked with Chinese Minister of Commerce Gao Hucheng and Director General of the General Administration of Quality and Safety Inspection and Quarantine of China Chi Thu Binh.
