Groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the ancient pagoda in Uncle Ho's hometown
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 25, Dat Pagoda, Kim Lien Commune, Nam Dan District held a groundbreaking ceremony to build a Tam Bao with an area of 400 square meters, including 2 "T" shaped buildings.
Attending the ceremony were representatives of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, leaders of Nam Dan district,Kim Lien relic site, Kim Lien commune, monks and many Buddhists in and outside Nam Dan district.

Dat Pagoda, also known as Bao Quang Pagoda, was built long ago on the top of the mountain.Chung Mountain, Ngoc Dinh village, Chung Cu commune, now Lien Son hamlet, Kim Lien commune. The ancient pagoda has a majestic architecture, especially after the restoration in the early 17th century, it created a massive construction, including many items, such as the three-door gate, stone stele, bell tower, lower, middle, upper halls, left and right corridors...
During the resistance war, Dat Pagoda used to be a local school. Later, due to time and war, the pagoda was damaged and degraded, leaving only the yard and the stone pillars.stele"Chung Son Bao Quang Tu Stele" (nearly 400 years old) and ancient stone statues.

In order to meet the wishes of Buddhists and local people, in 2014, the Provincial People's Committee issued a document approving the restoration of Dat Pagoda. After many years of preparation, now with the approval of the Provincial People's Committee and related departments and branches, the pagoda solemnly held a groundbreaking ceremony to build the Tam Bao, opening the process of restoring and constructing Dat Pagoda - an ancient temple in Uncle Ho's hometown to become more and more spacious.

Accordingly, the Tam Bao Pagoda Dat will be built with an area of 400 m2, designed in the shape of the letter "T", including 5 upper rooms, 3 back rooms and surrounding corridors with traditional architecture, using wooden structure, green stone combined with brick walls.
The stone porch column system is carved with 4-sided patterned parallel sentences. The wooden beam and rafters are hand-carved. The roof is tiled with embossed patterns. The floor is paved with red bricks. The estimated construction cost is about 4.7 billion VND from donations and socialization.

In a solemn atmosphere, delegates, monks and the entire assembly performed the incense offering ceremony, prayed, and broke ground for the construction of the Dat Pagoda.
