Raiding a bar, arresting many "partygoers" celebrating New Year's Eve with drugs
On the evening of December 31, 2018, the police detained 29 subjects who tested positive for drugs during inspections at bars and karaoke bars in the area.

At about 11:30 p.m. on December 31, 2018, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of An Giang Provincial Police coordinated with the Administrative Management Police Department for Social Order, the Mobile Police Department and Long Xuyen City Police to conduct an administrative raid at the Entertainment 77 karaoke bar on Ly Thai To Street, My Long Ward; Sam karaoke bar on Ha Hoang Ho Street, My Xuyen Ward and T3 karaoke bar on Tran Binh Trong Street, My Xuyen Ward, Long Xuyen City, and discovered and caught red-handed dozens of people who came to sing karaoke and showed signs of using, storing and illegally trading drugs.
During the inspection, the police seized 45 synthetic drug tablets and 15 packages of Ketamine.

Through rapid drug testing of the subjects involved, 29 subjects were found to be positive for drugs. The Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of the Provincial Police assigned the local authorities to decide to send them to the Provincial Drug Treatment and Rehabilitation Center for withdrawal, detoxification, and psychological counseling.
The Investigation Police Agency of An Giang Province Police has issued a Decision to temporarily detain the subjects Tran Quoc Quang (31 years old), residing in Binh Khanh 2 Hamlet, Binh Khanh Ward, Long Xuyen City; Nguyen Anh Tuan (18 years old), Do Hoang Son (23 years old), residing in Bac Son Hamlet, Nui Sap Town, Thoai Son District, Le Quoc Tuan (30 years old), residing in Dong Thinh 9 Hamlet, My Phuoc Ward, Long Xuyen City and Vo Huu Ly (23 years old), residing in Long Thanh Ward, Tan Chau Town, An Giang Province for the act of illegal possession and trafficking of narcotics to investigate and handle according to the provisions of law.
It is known that Karaoke Entertainment 77 and Karaoke Sam are places that harbor drug addicts who come here to use and illegally buy and sell drugs, causing outrage among the people.
