Bringing Truong Bon relic site into Nghe An spiritual tourism tour

(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of the 72nd anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, on the morning of August 19, in My Son commune, Do Luong district, the Truong Bon National Historical Relic Management Board held a discussion with the theme "Promoting the value of Truong Bon National Historical Relic".

Participating in the discussion were representatives of the Department of Tourism, Department of Culture and Sports, Nghe An Tourism Promotion Information Center, Nghe An Provincial Youth Union and representatives of the centers and travel companies in the province.

Truong Bon National Historical Relic Site was recognized on September 23, 1998. The relic investment project started in 2012, with a scale of 2.1 hectares; by 2014, phase 1 was completed and officially put into operation.

From the "dead coordinates" of the past, Truong Bon has become a red address for educating revolutionary traditions, a heroic symbol of the Vietnamese Youth Volunteer Force.

Over the past 3 years, the relic site has welcomed and served more than 9,000 groups of visitors from the Central and all over the country on pilgrimage (on average, each day, the relic site welcomes 10-11 groups with about 300 visitors).

Although it has just started operating and its staff is still young, the Management Board of the Relic Site has made great efforts to manage and serve well the visiting activities of Party and State leaders and tourists. The Management Board also has many activities to introduce and promote the historical value of Truong Bon National Relic Site on mass media. Thanks to that, this place has become a spiritual tourist destination attracting more and more visitors.

In order to promote the value of the Relic Site, to make it an attractive destination in the spiritual tourism journey of Nghe An, at the seminar, delegates contributed ideas to improve the quality of service management for visitors; hoped that the Management Board of the Relic Site would continue to invest in upgrading a number of items to better serve the needs of visitors; actively pay attention to collecting and supplementing documents, artifacts and documents; strengthen propaganda and promotion activities to create attraction and connect the Relic Site with other tourist attractions...

Speaking at the seminar, representatives of the Provincial Youth Union, Nghe An Department of Tourism and representatives of the leaders of the relic site received comments from delegates, thereby promptly proposing solutions to promote historical values, improve service quality; aiming to develop Truong Bon National Historical Relic Site into an attractive spiritual tourist destination of the province./.
