Painter stole money and diamonds worth more than 1 billion VND
After being hired to paint a house, Ngo Truc Linh opened the cabinet and stole money and diamonds worth more than 1 billion VND from the homeowner.

On January 28, Dau Tieng District Police, Binh Duong Province, said that they had handed over Ngo Truc Linh (36 years old, from Soc Trang) to Binh Duong Provincial Police to investigate the act of property theft.
Previously, on the afternoon of January 23, Dau Tieng District Police received a report from Ms. Hong Ngoc Phung (born in 1960), residing in Ward 2, Dau Tieng Town, about her family being robbed of property, including: 20,000 USD, a diamond ring worth over 492 million VND and a diamond bracelet worth nearly 345 million VND. The total value of the stolen property is about 1.4 billion VND.
During the investigation and verification, the police determined that Ngo Truc Linh was the perpetrator and summoned her for investigation.
Accordingly, from 4:00 p.m. on January 23 to 24, Linh was hired by Ms. Phung to repaint the bedroom.
While working, at 6:00 p.m. on January 23, Ngo Truc Linh discovered a carefully locked cabinet in Ms. Phung's bedroom, so she had the idea of stealing property to sell for money to spend during Tet.
After stealing the property, Ngo Truc Linh took the property back to her rented room to hide it. On the afternoon of January 24, the authorities searched Linh's rented room and discovered all of the above property.
