Nearly 10 thousand tourists return to Cua Lo on the first day of the holiday

Due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, people's travel needs have decreased. In addition, this year, Cua Lo town does not organize a tourism festival like previous years, so in general, the number of visitors to Cua Lo beach this time is not as crowded as previous years. However, according to the reporter's records, on the morning of May 1, Cua Lo beach was still quite bustling.

To cope with the decline in the number of guests, hotel and motel owners in Cua Lo, in addition to renovating rooms and landscapes, have now reduced room rates for tourists.

Ms. Pham Phuong Thuy, representative of a large hotel on Binh Minh Street (Cua Lo town) said: "This year, the guests who rent rooms are mainly families, very few in groups like before. To attract guests to stay, the hotel has announced a 30% reduction in room rates since the beginning of the holiday. As of this morning (May 1), almost 100% of the rooms are full."

It is known that many hotels and motels are also offering discounts to tourists. According to a survey, room rates at accommodation locations in Cua Lo town are "softer" than previous years and are publicly listed for tourists to know. At high-end hotels, prices range from 700,000 - 1 million VND/day and night. Mid-range hotels and motels range from 300,000 - 700,000 VND/day and night.

Mr. Minh, the owner of a motel on Sao Nam Street, said: "In addition to reducing room rates for guests, we also focus on epidemic prevention, regularly instructing staff to clean, disinfect, and instruct guests to wash their hands before and after entering and leaving the motel. Most people have a good sense of compliance."

According to preliminary statistics, on the first day of the holiday, Cua Lo town welcomed about 10,000 tourists with over 1,000 rooms rented. It is expected that the number of visitors will increase in the coming days due to hot weather and the extended holiday until the weekend. The town also directed accommodation establishments and restaurants to strictly comply with Covid-19 prevention measures to ensure community safety.
