Specifically, reduce the contribution rate to 0% of the salary fund used as the basis for social insurance contributions for employers contributing to the Fund.insuranceoccupational accidents and occupational diseases for employees who are subject to occupational accident and occupational disease insurance according to the provisions of law and the law on occupational safety and hygiene. The employer supports the entire amount from the reduction of contributions and the Occupational Accident and Occupational Insurance Fund for employees to prevent and fight Covid-19.
Pursuant to this Decision,Nghe An Social Insurancehas identified eligible employers to reduce the contribution rate and sent a notice of the reduced contribution amount to the Occupational Accident and Disease Insurance Fund to businesses in the area. Accordingly, the whole province has 6,906 employers supported with 148,463 workers and the estimated amount of reduced contribution in 12 months is 41.7 billion VND.

Previously, the contribution rate and method of social insurance (SI) contribution to the Occupational Accident and Disease Insurance Fund were clearly stipulated in Decree No. 58/2020/ND-CP of the Government. The Decree took effect from July 15, 2020.
The normal contribution rate is 0.3% - 0.5% of the salary fund depending on the subject and type of business. The contribution method is made monthly, every 3 months or every 6 months.
