Nearly 200 thousand voters in Dien Chau district go to the polls

Participating in the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels this term, the entire Dien Chau district has 287 polling stations with nearly 200,000 voters.

VotersDien Chau district will elect 2 delegates out of 4 candidates for the 15th National Assembly; 6 delegates out of 10 candidates for the Provincial People's Council; 39 delegates out of 68 candidates for the District People's Council; 958 delegates out of 1,589 candidates for the Commune People's Council.

Right at the opening morning at 7am, all communes, towns, and voting areas in Dien Chau district set the criteria: Achieving the highest percentage of voters, with a high number of valid votes, electing the right number and structure of delegates.

Records at constituency No. 3, Dien Chau town; constituency No. 9, Dien Ngoc commune; constituency No. 3, North block, Dien Hong commune... show that after the opening ceremony, voters took turns voting; had their temperature measured by medical staff, were reminded to wash their hands with sanitizer and wear masks,Covid-19 prevention.

Mr. Tran Duc, representing voters at polling station No. 9, Dien Ngoc commune, excitedly said: One day before the election, he reminded his children and grandchildren to arrange their boat work appropriately to vote on time. As for himself, before voting, he carefully read the resumes of each candidate to choose capable and prestigious representatives for the highest authority of the country.

Mr. Ha Xuan Quang - Secretary of District Party Committee, Chairman of the CouncilelectorDien Chau district said: The locality has 8 coastal communes, with a large number of voters going to sea, so the district directed communes and functional agencies to focus on propaganda so that fishermen can fully participate in voting.

However, due to the implementation of epidemic prevention work, the district directed localities to arrange reasonable voting time frames. By 10:30 a.m., it is expected that over 40% of voters in Dien Chau district had completed their voting rights and obligations.
