Nearly 500 medical staff attended a scientific conference on nutrition and immunity for the elderly held in Nghe An.

On the morning of July 1, Nghe An Provincial Department of Health coordinated with the Central Center for Communication and Health Education - Ministry of Health to organize a scientific workshop "Improving knowledge and communication skills"nutritionadult immunity".

Attending the workshop were Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Lien Huong - Deputy Minister of Health and representatives of leaders of Departments, Divisions and Institutes under the Ministry of Health. On the side of the Department of HealthNghe AnThere were Dr. Nguyen Thi Hong Hoa - Director of the Department of Health, leaders of the Department of Health and medical units in the province... The workshop also had the participation of nearly 500 doctors, medical staff from all over the country.

Speaking at the opening of the scientific conference, the Deputy Minister of Health highly appreciated the great contributions of the team of doctors and medical staff of Nghe An province in disease prevention and control activities in particular and in the work of protecting, caring for and improving the health of people in the area in general.

The Deputy Minister of Health also highlighted the Party and State's concern for ensuring a proper nutritional regime and increasing physical activity to help reduce the burden of disease, improve stature and enhance people's health.

The Deputy Minister of Health asked the delegates to focus on listening, discussing, and exchanging communication skills on nutrition, thereby educating and improving knowledge about nutrition for the community and patients.

At the workshop, experts presented a lot of updated and useful knowledge about health issues of the elderly, especially about immune aging and the application of immunonutrition in health care of the elderly after COVID-19. Through the workshop, Nghe An medical staff improved their knowledge of health care and strengthening the immune system for the elderly./.
