The deceased was identified as DQT (born 1993, residing in Go Vap). According to initial information, on the evening of the first day of Tet (February 1), T was driving a motorbike alone and two other suspects (sharing a motorbike) were traveling on Pham Van Dong Street looking for people going on a spring outing to rob them of money to spend during Tet.
Discovering that the young man was carrying a girl carrying a handbag, the three approached, grabbed her hand and ran towards Linh Xuan overpass. The victim shouted and chased after him. All three suspects drove their motorbike at high speed and fled near Go Dua bridge (Hiep Binh Chanh ward, Thu Duc city). T could not control his speed and fell off his motorbike, motionless. The other two suspects saw T fall and ran to take T's motorbike and ran away, leaving T at the scene. T was seriously injured and died on the spot.
Thu Duc City Police examined the scene, investigated and searched for the remaining two suspects.
