18 new Covid-19 cases recorded, including 15 in Da Nang, Vietnam has 929 patients
The 6 p.m. news of the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control reported 18 new cases of Covid-19, including 15 in Da Nang, 2 in Quang Ngai, and 1 in Ho Chi Minh City. Vietnam currently has 929 patients. During the day, 12 patients were announced to have recovered from the disease.
CASE 912 (BN912) in Ho Chi Minh City:Male patient, 27 years old, Chinese nationality.
On July 27, the patient and 7 Chinese people illegally entered Vietnam through the northern border. From July 27-29, the patient traveled by car to Ho Chi Minh City.
On July 30, the patient was discovered, quarantined, and tested at District 7 Hospital, all results were negative.
On August 1, the patient was transferred to quarantine at Cu Chi Field Hospital. Samples were taken on August 3 and 6, and the results were both negative. On August 12, a third sample was taken, and 1/8 of the samples were positive for SARS-CoV-2. The patient is currently quarantined and treated at Cu Chi Field Hospital.
