Chau Khe Border Guard Station was established in 2008. The station is responsible for managing 24km of border with 4 landmarks (232 to 235). The Chau Khe commune where the station is stationed has 10 villages and a production team (Khe Nong) with a total of 1,392 households and 5,862 people. This is a difficult border commune, with many ethnic minorities living there, including: Thai, Dan Lai, Kinh and Kho Mu.

The station's area is located in the core area of ​​Pu Mat National Park, so in addition to performing well the task of patrolling and maintaining order in the border security area, Chau Khe Border Guard Station is also responsible for coordinating with local authorities, the Pu Mat National Park rangers, propagating and mobilizing people to protect the forest. Promoting the spirit of mutual love, last year, the Station mobilized 17 students who are children of the Dan Lai ethnic group to return to school. The Station mobilized all officers and soldiers, each one thousand dong/day, to help in the form of monthly support for two poor, studious students of the Dan Lai ethnic group with an amount of 500 thousand dong/month/student.

Production activities are also given special attention and are constantly promoted by the Station. Currently, the Station has taken full advantage of the station's area to develop fish, chicken, duck farming, grow vegetables, etc., buy B40 steel, and zone off to test-raise 25 native black pigs, contributing to improving the daily meals of officers and soldiers.
