Coffee price today January 14, 2025: Continuous sharp decline, lowest level in nearly a month and a half
Today's domestic coffee price, January 14, has continuously decreased sharply, at 117,700 - 118,200 VND/kg, a decrease of 600 to 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Domestic coffee prices today in the Central Highlands region dropped sharply from 600 to 1,000 VND/kg, fluctuating between 117,700 - 118,200 VND/kg.
Accordingly, traders in Dak Nong province are purchasing coffee at the highest price of 118,200 VND/kg. A sharp decrease of 800 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Coffee price in Dak Lak province is 118,000 VND/kg, down 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Coffee prices in Gia Lai province also dropped sharply by VND800/kg and were traded at VND118,000/kg.
In Lam Dong province, coffee prices decreased by 600 VND/kg, to 117,700 VND/kg.

According to the Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade), 2024 is a special year for the coffee industry and for the first time, Vietnamese coffee prices are the highest in the world. Robusta coffee export prices are higher than Arabica coffee prices, which has never happened before.
It is forecasted that in 2025, Vietnam's coffee exports will continue to grow as supply increases and consumer demand from countries around the world increases.
Meanwhile, with consumption rising, global coffee inventories at the end of 2024 will fall further, to 20.9 million bags.
Experts predict that coffee prices may increase again in the coming time, fluctuating around 700 - 1,200 VND/kg, when the market stabilizes and consumer demand recovers.

Robusta Coffee (London):
Delivery March 2025: Down 13 USD/ton, to 4,953 USD/ton.
Delivery in May 2025: Down 9 USD/ton, to 4,870 USD/ton.
Arabica Coffee (New York):
March 2025 delivery: Up 3.95 cents/lb, to 327.8 cents/lb.
May 2025 delivery: Up 4 cents/lb, to 323.8 cents/lb.
Coffee consumption in China has increased by nearly 150% over the past 10 years and is forecast to reach 6.3 million bags (60 kg bags) in 2024/25. With domestic production hovering around 2 million bags, China will have to ramp up imports to meet growing domestic demand. Over the past decade, China’s coffee imports have nearly tripled and are forecast to reach 5.6 million bags in 2024/25.
According to the latest forecast of the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), global coffee production is expected to recover in the 2024-2025 crop year, mainly due to increased output in Vietnam and Indonesia.
Meanwhile, global coffee consumption in 2025 is expected to increase by 5.1 million bags to 168.1 million bags, with most of the increase coming from the European Union (EU), the United States and China.
