Some regions are still harvesting late-ripening coffee, while most have finished this year’s harvest. This year, coffee growers in the Central Highlands are enjoying the joy of record-high coffee prices, helping people have a warm and happy Tet.

A good coffee crop and good prices not only help people have a stable source of income, but also create conditions for reinvestment in production and maintaining coffee growing areas.

The Brazilian Real continues to strengthen against the US dollar and has gained 5.3% since the start of 2025. This, coupled with the news that around 85% of Brazil’s 2024-25 crop has been sold, as well as news that 2025-26 coffee sales are around 6% lower than last year, has supported the market’s bullish momentum.

Meanwhile, other coffee-producing countries around the world are harvesting new crops, gradually showing stronger competitiveness to attract the attention of roasters, especially in a coffee market that is already under pressure from new price increases in the futures market. Producers may need to adjust higher prices to adapt to this volatility.

Commenting on the market this week, expert Nguyen Quang Binh said that both exchanges are in the overbought zone. However, the bullish sentiment is still strong as Mr. Trump imposes tariffs on many countries. Experts predict that both exchanges will adjust downward when supply from Vietnam returns and speculation on the selling floor is strong.
