Analysts say coffee prices could stabilize in the coming months as new harvests enter the market. A more stable supply chain could see prices fall 20-30% after February 2025, but much depends on weather conditions in major producing regions.
Before then, the decline in certified inventories will continue to raise supply concerns, according to Harry Howard, a broker at Sucden Financial.
Meanwhile, Mr. Howard also warned that “technical indicators are still showing signs of overheating.” The relative strength index (RSI) for arabica remains near overbought territory, suggesting that prices may have gone too far and too fast.
