Nghe An family is being quarantined without testing for Corona virus

On February 24, Mr. Pham Ngoc Duyen - Chairman of Nghi Xuan Commune People's Committee (Nghi Loc), said that the 6 family members quarantined in Xuan Loc hamlet are still in normal health, with no symptoms of fever or cough. "In just 3 days, the entire family will be out of home quarantine," said Mr. Duyen.

Because there were no unusual symptoms, authorities did not take samples from these people to test for Covid-19.

On February 13, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Ngh. (33 years old, Ai Van hamlet, Son Loi commune, Binh Xuyen, Vinh Phuc), returned from Vinh Phuc to his wife's parents' house in Xuan Loc hamlet. He works as a worker at Ba Thien 2 Industrial Park, Binh Xuyen district. Previously, on February 8, his wife and 10-year-old son also "evacuated" from Vinh Phuc to Xuan Loc. Also on February 13, Son Loi commune was quarantined.

Upon receiving the information, the local authorities immediately quarantined the entire family at their residence. "We followed the quarantine method according to the Ministry of Health's instructions," Mr. Duyen added.

Accordingly, during the quarantine period, the authorities are responsible for providing food for the entire family. During this time, the 6 family members do not leave the house.

"Commune health workers will buy food and bring it to your home. While delivering the food, these workers must also wear protective gear carefully," said an official from Nghi Xuan commune.

In addition, this family in quarantine also received a lot of help from neighbors. "Sometimes, neighbors also buy things for them. If the family is in need of something, they will call. Neighbors help, and after buying, they will leave it in front of the door for family members to pick up, but they don't meet in person," the officer added.
Meanwhile, in recent days, authorities have also spread out to spray disinfectants throughout the neighborhood. Every corner and house within a 500 meter radius of a household with people coming from the epidemic area will be sprayed with chemicals.
