Ms. Hoa said: “We are very happy that we got our money back. Thank you to the newspaper for speaking up promptly. Otherwise, we don’t know when we would have gotten our money back…”
Previously, on March 31, 2016, Nghe An Electronic Newspaper published the article "A seriously disabled veteran couple was scammed out of 90 million VND to find a job for their child" stating that Mr. Lo Van Minh and Mrs. Bui Thi Hoa had a second daughter who graduated with a good degree from the Faculty of Law, Hanoi National University in 2013 but had not found a job.
In September 2015, a person named NTNA promised to “get” Mr. Minh and Mrs. Hoa’s daughters a job at a branch office in Vinh City for a total cost of 180 million VND. Mr. Minh and Mrs. Hoa gave NTNA a total of 90 million VND; after about 5 months, they discovered they had been scammed.

After the newspaper published the news, also on March 31, 2016, NTNA returned to meet Mr. and Mrs. Lo Van Minh and Bui Thi Hoa to ask for a delay in paying the amount of 90 million VND and wrote a commitment to pay 20 million VND by April 1, 2016; the remaining amount will be paid from April 1 to April 4, 2016....
Regarding this incident, it is known that the provincial police leadership has assigned the Criminal Police Department to investigate and clarify.
