Pig price today in the North
On the morning of December 12, a survey in the Northern region showed that the price of live pigs increased in Hanoi, Vinh Phuc, Yen Bai, Ha Nam and Ninh Binh. Currently, the price of live pigs in the Northern market fluctuates between 63,000 - 65,000 VND/kg.
Notably, Hanoi and Vinh Phuc are the two localities with live pig prices reaching 65,000 VND/kg, the same price as Thai Nguyen, Phu Tho, Tuyen Quang, Bac Giang and Thai Binh. This is also the highest price in the country.
Pig price today in Central Highlands
In the Central Highlands region, the price of live pigs increased further in Khanh Hoa, reaching 62,000 VND/kg, along with the provinces of Thua Thien Hue, Quang Tri and Quang Nam.
Thus, the price of 61,000 VND/kg has disappeared from the market. Currently, traders in the Central region are purchasing live pigs at around 62,000 - 64,000 VND/kg, with the highest price of 64,000 VND/kg appearing in Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Binh Thuan and Lam Dong.
Pig price today in the South
The Southern region kept prices stable this morning. The price of live pigs in this region fluctuated between 62,000 - 64,000 VND/kg.
Specifically, Hau Giang, Tien Giang, Ben Tre, Tra Vinh and Bac Lieu are the provinces with the lowest pig purchase price in the region, at 62,000 VND/kg.

Mr. Le Van Phuong was born in 1979, living in Hamlet 2 Moi, Quynh Thang Commune, Quynh Luu District, Nghe An Province, in a farming family. His family's economic difficulties made Mr. Phuong want to find a new direction from a young age. After graduating from an agricultural college, he returned to his hometown and decided to start a business with a semi-wild boar farming model. Initially, due to lack of experience, pig farming was difficult, but Mr. Phuong persevered and gradually found customers.
Currently, Mr. Phuong has more than 10 years of experience in raising wild boars, supplying meat to many restaurants and large and small customers in Vinh city.
His farm raises pigs using natural methods, ensuring the quality of the meat. With determination, he has built a spacious facility and a stable income from raising wild boars, providing 7 to 9 tons of meat to the market each year. In addition, he has expanded the distribution of meat and breeding animals to neighboring provinces.
