Vice Chairman of Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai requested the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to coordinate with departments, branches and Duc Linh District People's Committee to inspect, handle violations and completely resolve environmental pollution from livestock farms in Dong Ha commune.

Previously, the Provincial People's Committee received feedback from businesses and people in Duc Linh district about the serious odor pollution from livestock farms in Dong Ha commune.

Enterprises such as Nam Ha - Duc Linh Company Limited, Nam Ha 2 Industrial Park Company Limited and Hoa Long Construction Investment Joint Stock Company have submitted petitions. Accordingly, the stench from pig and chicken farms surrounding projects such as Nam Ha 2 Residential Area, Nam Ha 3 and Nam Ha 2 Industrial Cluster has seriously affected the investment environment.

Specifically, many secondary investors, including FDI enterprises, came to survey but did not continue to implement the project due to concerns about pollution. These enterprises said that pollution from livestock farms was the main reason for their withdrawal.

Enterprises proposed that the Provincial People's Committee direct thorough handling to protect the environment, promote production, business and attract investment in the area.
