Pig price today November 27, 2024: Some localities in the North and South have recorded opposite price fluctuations, increasing/decreasing by 1,000 VND/kg.
Pig price in the Northern region
Pig price today (November 27, 2024) in the North continued to decrease slightly in some localities.
Specifically, the three provinces of Tuyen Quang, Vinh Phuc and Thai Nguyen recorded a decrease in purchasing price to 61,000 VND/kg. However, Thai Binh province increased by 1,000 VND/kg, reaching 63,000 VND/kg, becoming the locality with the highest live pig price in the region.
Other provinces in the North are currently trading at 61,000 - 62,000 VND/kg.
Pig price in the Central Highlands region
In the Central and Central Highlands regions, the price of live pigs today (November 27, 2024) remains stable, fluctuating between 59,000 - 62,000 VND/kg.
Of which, Dak Lak continues to be the province with the lowest pork price in the country, reaching only 59,000 VND/kg.
Other localities such as Quang Binh, Binh Dinh and Nghe An have prices ranging from 60,000 - 62,000 VND/kg.
Pig price in the Southern region
In the South, the price of live pigs today (November 27, 2024) recorded a slight decrease in Hau Giang and Dong Thap, at 61,000 VND/kg.
Meanwhile, provinces such as Long An, An Giang, Kien Giang, Ca Mau, Soc Trang and Can Tho City still maintain the highest price in the region, reaching 63,000 VND/kg.
Overall, the price of live pigs in the South fluctuates from 61,000 - 63,000 VND/kg.

In general, the price of live pigs today (November 27, 2024) has had mixed adjustments in many localities across the country. Currently, traders are purchasing live pigs at prices ranging from 59,000 - 63,000 VND/kg.
Storm No. 3 caused an estimated economic loss of more than 81,000 billion VND, which could reduce the GDP of the whole year by about 0.15%. Localities such as Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Thai Nguyen, Lao Cai, and Yen Bai will be severely affected.
After the storm, livestock farmers and businesses have repaired facilities and prepared equipment and breeds to supply products for the 2025 Lunar New Year.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development coordinated with Hai Phong to organize a conference to support people affected by the damage, donating more than 160 billion VND from livestock, veterinary and aquaculture businesses.
Mavin Group supported nearly 1 billion VND, including disinfectants and cash to repair barns. CP Group contributed 5 billion VND to support production reconstruction.
Restocking is a priority, but close monitoring is needed to ensure safety, especially in terms of barn and livestock area hygiene.
It is necessary to choose breeds of clear origin and ensure raising conditions such as barns, food, and water for animals to grow healthily.
The government provides financial support to severely damaged households through debt relief and help restore production, or move farms to other locations to reduce risks.
