Pepper price today, September 10, 2024, is around 152,000-153,000 VND/kg, the same as yesterday. By the end of August 2024, pepper export value reached 881.2 million USD.
Domestic pepper price on September 10, 2024
Specifically, Dak Lak pepper price was purchased at 153,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday. Chu Se pepper price (Gia Lai) was purchased at 152,000 VND/kg, stable from yesterday. Dak Nong pepper price today was recorded at 153,000 VND/kg.
In the Southeast region, pepper prices today are stable compared to yesterday. Specifically, in Ba Ria - Vung Tau, it is currently at 153,000 VND/kg, stable compared to yesterday; in Binh Phuoc, pepper prices today are at 152,000 VND/kg, stable compared to yesterday.

By the end of August 2024, Vietnam had exported 183,756 tons of pepper. Black pepper exports accounted for 162,721 tons, while white pepper accounted for 21,035 tons. The total export value of pepper reached 881.2 million USD, with black pepper accounting for 754.1 million USD and white pepper for 127.1 million USD.
Although the export volume decreased by 2.1% compared to the previous year, the export value increased by 43%. The average export price of black pepper was 4,712 USD/ton and white pepper was 6,326 USD/ton, up 1,270 USD and 1,371 USD respectively compared to the previous year.
Leading pepper exporters included Olam Vietnam (18,185 tons, up 50.6%); Phuc Sinh (16,522 tons, up 61.7%); Nedspice Vietnam (13,953 tons, up 14.1%); Haprosimex JS (13,808 tons, up 77.0%) and Tran Chau (11,426 tons, down 6.5%).
Several other companies also recorded significant export growth such as Simexco Dak Lak up 215.1%; Sinh Loc Phat up 124.2%; Hanfimex Vietnam up 94.2%; Intimex Group up 85.6%; Lien Thanh up 60.3%….
World pepper price today
Update on world pepper prices from the International Pepper Community (IPC), at the end of the most recent trading session, IPC listed the price of Indonesian Lampung black pepper at 7,578 USD/ton, and the price of Muntok white pepper at 8,923 USD/ton.
The price of Brazilian ASTA 570 black pepper was at USD 7,500/ton. The price of Malaysian ASTA black pepper remained stable at USD 8,800/ton; the price of this country's ASTA white pepper reached USD 10,900/ton.
Vietnam's black pepper prices are stable at a high level, trading at 6,600 USD/ton for 500 g/l; 7,000 USD/ton for 550 g/l; and 9,300 USD/ton for white pepper.
By the end of August 2024, Vietnam had imported a total of 21,348 tons of pepper. Of which, 18,657 tons were black pepper and 2,691 tons were white pepper. The total value of pepper imports reached 88.4 million USD, up 12.3% over the previous year.
Vietnam imported pepper mainly from Brazil with 8,058 tons (down 30.5%), Cambodia with 6,635 tons (up 96.1%), and Indonesia with 4,530 tons (up 94.6%).
Major pepper importers included Olam Vietnam with 7,496 tons (down 1.6%), Tran Chau with 2,756 tons (down 11.4%), and KSS Vietnam with 1,235 tons (up 10.1%).
