Domestic pepper price on September 9, 2024
Specifically, Dak Lak pepper price was purchased at 153,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday. Chu Se pepper price (Gia Lai) was purchased at 152,000 VND/kg, stable from yesterday. Dak Nong pepper price today was recorded at 153,000 VND/kg.
In the Southeast region, pepper prices today are stable compared to yesterday. Specifically, in Ba Ria - Vung Tau, it is currently at 153,000 VND/kg, stable compared to yesterday; in Binh Phuoc, pepper prices today are at 152,000 VND/kg, stable compared to yesterday.

By the end of August 2024, Vietnam had exported a total of 183,756 tons of pepper. Of which, 162,721 tons were black pepper and 21,035 tons were white pepper.
Total pepper export value reached 881.2 million USD, with black pepper at 754.1 million USD and white pepper at 127.1 million USD. Although export volume decreased slightly by 2.1% compared to the previous year, export value increased by an impressive 43%.
The average export price of black pepper was 4,712 USD/ton and that of white pepper was 6,326 USD/ton, higher than the previous year by 1,270 USD and 1,371 USD respectively.
World pepper price today
Update on world pepper prices from the International Pepper Community (IPC), at the end of the most recent trading session, IPC listed the price of Indonesian Lampung black pepper at 7,578 USD/ton, and the price of Muntok white pepper at 8,923 USD/ton.
The price of Brazilian ASTA 570 black pepper was at USD 7,500/ton. The price of Malaysian ASTA black pepper remained stable at USD 8,800/ton; the price of this country's ASTA white pepper reached USD 10,900/ton.
Vietnam's black pepper prices are stable at a high level, trading at 6,600 USD/ton for 500 g/l; 7,000 USD/ton for 550 g/l; and 9,300 USD/ton for white pepper.

Export volume to the US in the first 8 months of 2024 reached 51,823 tons, nearly equal to the total export volume of the whole year of 2023 (54,271 tons), compared to the same period last year, the export volume increased by 54.3% and accounted for 28.2% of the market share.
