Pepper price today October 11, 2024 is around 145,000 - 147,000 VND/kg, today's pepper price has decreased sharply by 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday. The amount of pepper exported to China decreased by more than 84%.
Domestic pepper price on October 11, 2024
Specifically, Dak Lak pepper price was purchased at 147,000 VND/kg, down 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Chu Se pepper price (Gia Lai) was purchased at 146,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday. Dak Nong pepper price today was recorded at 147,000 VND/kg.
In the Southeast region, pepper prices today decreased sharply by 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Specifically, in Ba Ria - Vung Tau, it is currently at 146,500 VND/kg, down 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday; in Binh Phuoc, pepper prices today are at 145,000 VND/kg.

In the first nine months of 2024, Vietnam's pepper exports increased by 46% compared to 2023. However, exports to Asia, the largest market, decreased by 33.7%, mainly due to a sharp decline in China.
In total, Vietnam exported 200,894 tons of pepper, including 177,953 tons of black pepper and 22,941 tons of white pepper. The total export value reached 991 million USD, with black pepper accounting for 781.9 million USD and white pepper for 142.1 million USD. Although the export volume decreased slightly by 1.7%, the value increased sharply due to the average price of black pepper and white pepper increasing by 40.9% and 30.4%, respectively.
Asia accounted for 37.8% of Vietnam's total exports, but this was down 33.7% year-on-year. Other Asian markets such as the UAE, India, South Korea, and Pakistan all saw growth, while China fell 84.1%.
World pepper price today
Update on world pepper prices from the International Pepper Community (IPC), at the end of the most recent trading session, IPC listed the price of Indonesian Lampung black pepper at 6,733 USD/ton (up 0.46%), and the price of Muntok white pepper at 9,003 USD/ton (up 0.41%).
The price of Brazilian ASTA 570 black pepper was at USD 6,750/ton. The price of Malaysian ASTA black pepper remained stable at USD 8,800/ton; the price of this country's ASTA white pepper reached USD 11,200/ton.
Vietnamese black pepper prices today are stable at a high level, trading at 6,800 USD/ton for 500 g/l; 550 g/l at 7,100 USD/ton; white pepper prices at 10,150 USD/ton.
In September, the three main companies importing pepper to Vietnam were Olam, Phuc Sinh and Tran Chau. Indonesia became the largest pepper supplier to Vietnam with 1,787 tons, up 460.2% over the previous month.
In total, in the first nine months of the year, Vietnam imported 23,778 tons of pepper, including 20,890 tons of black pepper and 2,888 tons of white pepper, with a total import value of 102 million USD, up 15.8% over the same period last year.
The leading pepper importers include Olam Vietnam, Pearl Group, KSS Vietnam, Phuc Sinh and Lien Thanh, with Olam accounting for 35.7% of the market share with 8,498 tonnes, up 11%. The three main countries supplying pepper to Vietnam are Brazil, Cambodia and Indonesia, accounting for 90.3% of total imports.
