Pepper price today September 12, 2025: Exports increase sharply
Pepper price today, September 12, is at 148,000 - 152,000 VND/kg. A sharp decrease from 1,000 to 2,000 VND/kg. Vietnam's pepper export price has increased sharply from 360 to 430 USD/ton.
Domestic pepper prices
Pepper prices today in key growing areas have dropped sharply from 1,000 to 2,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Thereby, the domestic pepper price level is from 148,000 VND/kg to 152,000 VND/kg.
In the Central Highlands region, pepper price today in Dak Lak decreased sharply by 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday, currently at 152,000 VND/kg.
Pepper price today in Gia Lai decreased by 1000 VND/kg compared to yesterday, currently at 149,000 VND/kg.
Pepper price today in Lam Dong (old Dak Nong) decreased by 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday, currently at 152,000 VND/kg.
In the Southeast region, pepper price today in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Ba Ria - Vung Tau) is currently at 151,000 VND/kg, down 1000 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Dong Nai decreased 1000 VND/kg compared to yesterday at 151,000 VND/kg.
In addition, today's pepper price in Dong Nai (formerly Binh Phuoc) decreased by 2,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday, currently at 148,000 VND/kg.

According to the Vietnam Pepper and Spices Association (VPSA), the market may face difficulties in the third quarter of 2025, but from the fourth quarter of 2025 to the first quarter of 2026, orders from the US will increase thanks to stockpiling activities for the peak season.
In pepper growing areas, the rain has gradually decreased, the plants have entered the flowering and fruiting stage. However, the early rain in some places has caused uneven flowering and the plants have developed more leaves, which may affect the yield.
According to the Vietnam Industry and Trade Information Center (VITIC), domestic supply is gradually depleting as the harvest ended in May and farmers have sold almost all. There is not much inventory left, while businesses still have to actively purchase to fulfill signed orders.
Pepper price today September 12 in the world market
In the world market, based on quotes from export enterprises and export prices in various countries, the International Pepper Association (IPC) updated the prices of all types of pepper traded in the international market on September 11 (local time) as follows:
Indonesia's Lampung black pepper price decreased slightly compared to yesterday at USD 7,074/ton (down 0.07%). In addition, Muntok white pepper price decreased slightly compared to yesterday at USD 10,024/ton (down 0.07%).
Brazilian ASTA black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at $6,500/mt.
Malaysia’s ASTA black pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at $9,700/ton. Meanwhile, the country’s ASTA white pepper price also remained unchanged from yesterday at $12,900/ton.
Prices of all types of Vietnamese pepper increased sharply compared to yesterday. In particular, the price of Vietnamese black pepper 500 gr/l reached 6,600 USD/ton (up 5.45%); 550 gr/l reached 6,800 USD/ton (up 6.32%).
In addition, Vietnam's white pepper price increased sharply compared to yesterday, reaching 9,250 USD/ton (up 1.08%).
World pepper prices have increased sharply in some Southeast Asian countries. In Vietnam, black pepper export prices have increased sharply, while white pepper prices have increased slightly. The reason is due to high demand for the year-end holiday season and a weakening USD as the Fed prepares to cut interest rates.
The adjustment of Vietnam's pepper export prices to increase has further strengthened the industry and boosted expectations that pepper exports will set a new record this year.
