Giá tiêu hôm nay 4/10/2025: Giảm nhẹ xuống mức 144,000 - 146,000 đồng/kg

The Vietnamese pepper market is entering a period of scarcity. Domestic inventories continue to decline, while the new harvest is about four months away. This has resulted in increasingly less pepper available on the market, while domestic and foreign demand remains stable.

It is the supply shortage that has kept domestic pepper prices high and is unlikely to fall sharply in the short term.

However, the rising value of the US dollar is becoming a notable disadvantage. As the greenback strengthens, Vietnamese pepper becomes more expensive for customers paying in other currencies such as the Euro, Rupee or Yuan.

Not only does it reduce the attractiveness of Vietnamese pepper in the international market, but it also narrows the profit margins of export enterprises, which are already struggling with high input costs.

Amid the challenging picture, a positive sign comes from logistics costs. Despite the impact of recent storms in Asia that have disrupted some shipping routes, container shipping rates to Europe and the Mediterranean have fallen to their lowest since December 2023.

This development helps Vietnamese pepper exporting enterprises reduce cost pressure, while creating opportunities to improve competitiveness in distant markets.
