Pepper prices today (July 5) in the domestic market stagnated and moved sideways after a downward adjustment session. Currently, pepper prices fluctuate around 66,500 - 69,500 VND.
Accordingly, in the Central Highlands region, pepper prices are purchased by traders at around 66,500 - 67,500 VND/kg. Specifically, Chu Se pepper price (Gia Lai) is purchased by traders at 66,500 VND/kg. In Dak Lak, pepper prices continue to maintain at 67,500 VND/kg. In Dak Nong, pepper prices today are also unchanged and maintained at 67,500 VND/kg.

In the Southeast region, pepper prices today remain stable compared to yesterday. Currently, pepper prices in this region are being purchased around the mark of 68,000 - 69,500 VND/kg.
In Dong Nai, pepper price is at 68,000 VND/kg. In Binh Phuoc, pepper price is at 68,500 VND/kg. In Ba Ria Vung Tau, the price is still the highest and today it is purchased by traders at 69,500 VND/kg.
According to a survey, the domestic pepper market had a series of strong price increases from 63,000 - 66,000 VND/kg in the last week of April to a peak of 73,000 - 76,000 VND/kg on May 19. After that, pepper prices were adjusted down to 71,000 - 74,000 VND/kg as of June 15. In the last days of June, black pepper prices in the domestic market decreased sharply due to reduced demand from China.
The Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association (VPSA) said that pepper exports to China increased dramatically in March and April and this was one of the main reasons for the increase in domestic pepper prices.
Domestic coffee prices increase sharply

Regarding the domestic market, according to the General Statistics Office, Vietnam's coffee exports in June are estimated to have reached 150,000 tons, worth 392 million USD, up 9.1% in volume and 24.3% in value over the same period in 2022. Thereby, the total amount of coffee exported in the first half of 2023 is estimated at 1.02 million tons, worth 2.40 billion USD, down 2.2% in volume but up 3% in value.

A representative of the Vietnam Food Association said that in the first months of the year, Vietnam has sharply increased the export of fragrant rice and high-quality rice to niche markets, so the value obtained is very high. Rice exports in the first 6 months are estimated to increase by 22.2% in volume but up to 34.7% in value compared to the same period last year.
Vietnam's rice export prices in early July continued to remain at $508/ton for 5% broken rice and $488/ton for 25% broken rice. This is the highest among rice exporting countries.
