DOJI Group listed the price of SJC gold bars at 135.3 - 137.3 million VND/tael (buy - sell), an increase of 800 thousand VND/tael in both buying and selling directions compared to yesterday.
At the same time, the price of gold bars was listed by Saigon Jewelry Company Limited - SJC at 134.8 - 136.8 million VND/tael (buy - sell), an increase of 300 thousand VND/tael in both buying and selling compared to yesterday, September 30.
At Mi Hong Jewelry Company, the price of Mi Hong gold at the time of survey was listed at 135 - 136.8 million VND/tael for buying and selling. Compared to yesterday, the gold price decreased by 500 thousand VND/tael for buying and increased by 300 thousand VND/tael for selling.

Bao Tin Minh Chau listed the price of gold rings at 131.4 - 134.4 million VND/tael (buy - sell); an increase of 800 thousand VND/tael in both buying and selling directions compared to yesterday's closing price.

World gold price today October 1, 2025 and world gold price fluctuation chart in the past 24 hours
According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 4:00 a.m. on October 1, Vietnam time, was 3,844.17 USD/ounce. Today's gold price increased by 17.5 USD/ounce compared to last week. Converted according to the USD exchange rate at Vietcombank (26,446 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 122.6 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of gold bars is 14.2 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.
The domestic gold price has just experienced a day of strong fluctuations. After reaching a record high, nearly reaching the threshold of 138 million VND/tael, the gold price suddenly turned around and decreased.
It is worth mentioning that although the weather in Hanoi is quite bad due to the impact of storm No. 10, hundreds of people are still not afraid of the rain and wind, eagerly lining up at gold shops to buy gold at high prices.
Specifically, at 1:00 p.m. yesterday, the price of SJC gold bars suddenly skyrocketed, reaching an all-time high, between 135.8 and 137.8 million VND/tael for buying and selling. Gold rings from 1 to 5 chi also increased sharply, with transaction prices ranging from 131.1 to 133.8 million VND/tael.
However, by 4:00 p.m., the market suddenly witnessed a downward adjustment. The price of SJC gold bars dropped sharply to 134.8 - 136.8 million VND. Gold rings also decreased by about 900,000 VND/tael in both buying and selling directions.
Despite the complicated gold price movements and unfavorable weather, people's gold purchasing power is still very high. There are long queues at large gold stores in DOJI and BTMC. Some people like Ms. Thu had to queue from 9:00 am and it was not until 11:00 am that she was able to buy five taels of gold ring. She shared that the day before she went to buy but many places announced that they were out of stock.
The situation of insufficient supply to meet demand was evident. Bao Tin Minh Chau gold shop had to stop giving out coupons to customers just 30 minutes after opening. Those lucky enough to have coupons could only buy a maximum of two taels of gold rings, and there were absolutely no SJC gold bars to sell.
Phu Quy also announced that it was out of gold bars. Customers could buy unlimited quantities of gold rings, but if they bought five taels or less, they would receive the goods immediately. If they bought more, they would have to deposit money, sign a contract, and wait until early November 2025 to receive the gold. By noon, this store had to stop accepting customers.
The rain was getting heavier and heavier, and most of the gold shops had stopped selling since noon. Many people still patiently braved the rain to buy. The shop staff had to constantly come out to explain and ask customers to come back the next day.
