Thanh Chuong Association Football Tournament to support homeland after storm No. 10

(Baonghean.vn) - Along with exciting matches, the 2017 "Thanh Chuong Southern Countrymen Association" football tournament also organized a charity donation program to support the homeland after storm No. 10.

The 4th “Thanh Chuong Southern Countrymen Association” Football Tournament in 2017 took place from September 10 to October 22 at De Po Stadium, Binh Duong Province. There were 22 teams from Thanh Chuong District who are working and living in Binh Duong Province and neighboring areas participating, divided into 6 groups, competing on Sundays.

While the tournament was taking place, typhoon No. 10 made landfall in the Central region, causing heavy damage. In order to share the hardships with families who suffered heavy losses after the storm, the tournament's Organizing Committee made a charity donation right at De Po Stadium, calling on athletes, fans, and Thanh Chuong children in the South to "give a little but give a lot" to join hands towards their homeland.

As the tournament was preparing to enter the second round, the first gifts were sent to disadvantaged families in their homeland.

On September 29, representatives of the organizing committee in coordination with Thanh Chuong District Youth Union visited and presented 10 gifts to families in difficult circumstances in 3 communes of Thanh Tung, Thanh Xuan, Thanh Lien (Thanh Chuong), each gift worth 500,000 VND.

According to the tournament organizers, although these gifts are not of great material value, they represent the feelings and hearts of Thanh Chuong people living, studying and working in the South towards their homeland. Through this activity, the organizers want to send the tournament's message of love and solidarity to everyone.

It is known that the football tournament "Thanh Chuong Southern Countrymen Association" is held annually, is a healthy and useful playground, a place to exchange and connect the feelings of Thanh Chuong people in the South./.
