Solving work on the basis of love for humanity according to Ho Chi Minh's ethics

Attending the conference in Hanoi were Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Standing member of the Party Central Committee Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong, Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission Vo Van Thuong, Head of the Central Economic Commission Nguyen Van Binh, Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai; and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Tran Thanh Man.

Reporting on the two-year review of the implementation of Directive 05 of the Politburo, comrade Vo Van Thuong affirmed that the implementation of the directive over the past two years has achieved positive results, contributing to the successful implementation of resolutions of party congresses at all levels and the Resolution of the 12th National Party Congress.

Notably, Party committees at all levels have linked the implementation of Directive 05 with the implementation of Resolution 4 of the 12th Central Committee, contributing to building a clean and strong Party and political system; initially preventing the degradation of political ideology, ethics, lifestyle and manifestations of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" within the Party; stepping up the fight against corruption, waste and bureaucracy; promptly and effectively resolving many outstanding concerns in localities, agencies and units.

The Head of the Central Propaganda Department also frankly pointed out a number of limitations, namely that the implementation of Directive 05 has not created comprehensive and synchronous changes at all levels, sectors and fields; there is still a situation of perfunctory and perfunctory work, not really seeking for knowledge, "achievement" disease and "formality" disease in many places.

Some places have not focused on solving breakthroughs and pressing, prominent issues in localities and units. A number of cadres and party members, including leaders, even cadres and party members holding high positions in Party and State agencies, still lack self-awareness, do not regularly study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, lack self-cultivation and training, are not exemplary in work and life, violate Party regulations and laws, negatively affecting people's trust in the Party...

The conference spent time listening to presentations from many units and localities presenting many good practices in implementing Directive 05.

Concluding the conference, comrade Tran Quoc Vuong - Politburo member, Standing member of the Party Central Committee Secretariat acknowledged and commended the determination and creativity in implementing Directive 05 in units and localities.

Pointing out a number of shortcomings and limitations that need to be overcome, comrade Tran Quoc Vuong requested Party committees at all levels, agencies, units and localities to continue to thoroughly grasp and raise awareness of the importance of implementing Directive 05; the significance and role of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle in Party building, building a clean and strong political system, building a cultural foundation and Vietnamese people to meet the requirements of sustainable development and national defense.

Party committees at all levels are required to lead and direct the implementation of Directive 05 in conjunction with the implementation of Resolutions of the 4th, 6th and 7th Central Committees (12th tenure); in conjunction with the implementation of political tasks at each level, unit and locality, focusing on selecting outstanding and urgent issues to resolve and handle.

Emphasizing the focus, comrade Tran Quoc Vuong said that, among many things that need to be done, it is necessary to first launch a movement to practice thrift and fight waste according to President Ho Chi Minh's ideology in the entire political system and all classes of people, first of all, cadres, party members, and leaders must be extremely exemplary.

At the same time, it is necessary to create a movement in society about love for compatriots, comrades, teammates, and colleagues according to Uncle Ho's ideology and morality. Every cadre, party member, and Vietnamese citizen, regardless of the circumstances or working environment, must have meaningful and emotional behavior; solving work must be based on the foundation of love for humanity according to Uncle Ho's ideology and morality./.
