Director of Health Department Duong Dinh Chinh: Nghe An has basically controlled Covid-19
(Baonghean.vn) - According to the head of Nghe An's health sector, Nghe An has basically controlled the Covid-19 epidemic.
On June 26, Nghe An province recorded 7 more Covid-19 patients. Most of the cases were relatives in the same family, who had been quarantined in advance.
"Up to now, it can be affirmed that the Covid-19 epidemic situation in Nghe An has been basically controlled," said Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh - Director of the Department of Health, Deputy Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control, citing that in recent days, the number of cases detected through screening in the community has gradually decreased. Most of the cases were detected through tracing, many people had been quarantined in advance.

According to the head of Nghe An health sector, among the localities, the epidemic situation in Vinh City is the most serious, with 38 cases to date. However, most of the outbreaks have been controlled, and no new outbreaks have appeared for many days. The newly discovered cases are all F1s that have been isolated or zoned and screened in advance.
"There is only one rather complicated outbreak in the area related to Vinh wholesale market. However, localities have been very urgent in tracing, isolating at home and testing all people related to this market. This work is being done very well so far," Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh added.

InDien Chau, the epidemic situation has also been basically controlled. This is the locality with the second highest number of cases with 9 patients. However, according to Mr. Tang Van Luyen - Chairman of the District People's Committee, there have been no new cases in the area for nearly a week. The last time this locality recorded a case was on June 20, while the sampling and testing work was still being carried out continuously.
Faced with this situation, the Provincial People's Committee has decided to relax epidemic prevention measures in this locality. Currently, only 2 communes, Dien Thinh and Minh Chau, must be socially isolated according to Directive 16. 4 communes, Dien Trung, Dien Kim, Dien Tan, Dien Cat, are socially distanced according to Directive 15.
"However, that does not mean we can be complacent. Neither the people nor the government. Currently, although the province has given permission, we have decided not to reopen restaurants. We can only sell take-out," said the Chairman of the People's Committee of Dien Chau district.

In the districtQuy Hophas just recorded 4 more Covid-19 patients, bringing the total number of infections in the area to 5 patients. However, the 4 people who have just been confirmed to have Covid-19 are all F1 (the patient's wife and 3 children), and have been quarantined for more than a week. Previously, on June 11, the man drove a truck with his wife to Bac Giang to buy lychees and then transported them to Da Nang to sell. On June 15, this person returned home in Nghia Xuan commune, Quy Hop district.
On the evening of June 17, upon hearing that a woman selling fabric in Bac Giang had contracted Covid-19, he went to the Nghia Xuan Commune Health Station to make a medical declaration and was tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Immediately, the health authorities began tracing and urgently quarantining those who had been in close contact with the patient.

In the districtTan Ky, the only case so far is a female worker returning from Bac Giang. According to Mr. Thai Hai Dang - Director of Tan Ky District Medical Center, this is an F1 case, quarantined for 21 days in Bac Giang. After receiving information that she returned to her hometown, we carefully sent a car to National Highway 1A to pick her up and then took her to quarantine at home. Therefore, even though the result was positive later, there was no concern about the spread of the disease to the community.
Similarly, in the districtDo LuongSo far, only one case has been recorded. The patient works at the District Police, tested positive on the evening of June 22, is F1 of a patient in Vinh City. The Do Luong District Health Department has traced hundreds of F1 of this person, and quarantined the Do Luong District Police area. The good news is that so far all F1 and those at risk of infection have tested negative.
In addition, there are 3 localities in the province that recorded cases after screening people related to Vinh wholesale market. Specifically, inNam DanThere are 3 patients in Trung Phuc Cuong commune, (one of whom is a trader, the other 2 are family members). "Up to now, we are basically still controlling the situation well. With the first case in Kim Lien commune, all related people have been quarantined, and all tests have been negative. Currently, along with tracing F1s, we are also prioritizing screening of traders who have returned from Vinh wholesale market," said Dr. Ho Son - Director of Nam Dan Medical Center.

In townHoang Mai, the two Covid-19 patients recorded in this outbreak are a mother and daughter in Quynh Vinh commune. The mother is a trader at Vinh wholesale market. Doctor Ho Sy Duong - Director of Hoang Mai Medical Center said that so far, the unit has tested more than 1,000 people including F1s of this mother and daughter and people living nearby. The results showed that all were negative for Covid-19.
Similarly, in the districtNghi Loc, the two Covid-19 patients are a couple in Nghi Dien commune. The wife is also a trader at Vinh wholesale market. "Immediately after the case at Vinh wholesale market, without waiting for instructions from superiors, we immediately asked the medical stations to screen all traders there. Among them is the couple who are the above patients. In addition, up to now, the whole district has screened more than 400 people related to Vinh wholesale market for testing and at the same time quarantined at home", said Mr. Vo Van Thang - Director of Nghi Loc District Medical Center.
Up to now, Nghe An province has detected 66 positive cases of Covid-19, including: Vinh city has 38 cases, Dien Chau has 9 cases, Tan Ky has 1 case, Quy Hop has 5 cases, Nam Dan has 4 cases, Do Luong has 1 case, Hoang Mai town has 2 cases, Nghia Dan has 1 case, Nghi Loc has 2 cases and Quynh Luu has 3 cases.
Currently, Nghe An is quarantining and monitoring the health of nearly 30,000 people to prevent the Covid-19 epidemic. Of these, more than 26,000 people are quarantined and monitored at home; more than 3,000 people are quarantined in centralized facilities, of which nearly 2,500 are F1 cases.... To date, more than 35,000 people in Nghe An have been vaccinated against Covid-19.
