Supervision of school network planning in Minh Thanh commune (Yen Thanh)
(Baonghean.vn) -This morning, April 26, the Department of Culture - Society, Provincial People's Council, headed by Ms. Ton Thi Cam Ha - Deputy Head of the Department of Culture - Society, had a working session with Minh Thanh commune (Yen Thanh district) on the implementation of Resolution 271/2009/NQ-HDND on the planning of school network in the area.
According to the report of Minh Thanh commune, after 4 years of planning and implementing the school network planning in the commune, the initial results have been remarkable. Specifically, the merger of Dai Thanh Secondary School and Minh Thanh Secondary School into Dai Minh Secondary School has basically received the consensus of the people, after the merger, all students attended school. On the old school area of 7,875 m2 when it was merged, there were only 12 high-rise classrooms, 8 level 4 classrooms, after the merger, with the State budget of 2,081,000,000 VND, local budget of 2,231,959,000 VND, and parents' contributions of 372,965,000 VND, the school has now received basic investment in facilities. A new 10-room high-rise school building was built and put into use in early 2010, increasing the total number of high-rise classrooms to 22, a 4-room teacher dormitory, an additional 3,000 square meters of sports field, increasing the school area to 10,875 square meters. However, after the merger, some difficulties also arose such as the management area being larger and more complicated; some parents were still worried when their children went to school far away from home compared to before...
On behalf of the Supervisory Delegation, Comrade Ton Thi Cam Ha acknowledged the initial results of the commune in planning the school network in the area. She noted that in the coming time, the commune needs to continue mobilizing resources to ensure the progress of the school network planning policy in accordance with local realities to serve teaching and learning well in the area. With the recommendations of the commune, the Department of Culture and Society will synthesize and report to relevant levels and sectors for consideration and resolution.
