Regarding the proposal, the authorities should conduct inspections of waste treatment from hospitals to reduce environmental impact.
Regarding this content, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment has regularly coordinated with the Department of Health and the People's Committee of Vinh City to inspect and urge hospitals in the province to carry out environmental protection activities. In the city, there are 03 hospitals with hazardous medical waste incinerators including: Military Hospital 4, Vinh City General Hospital and Oncology Hospital.

However, through inspection and supervision, the incinerators of Vinh City General Hospital and Oncology Hospital caused environmental pollution due to damage and degradation, so the authorities requested a temporary suspension of operations. Currently, regarding waste treatment, 21/21 hospitals collect and treat waste in accordance with regulations, specifically: 20/21 hospitals have signed contracts with competent units for treatment; 01/21 hospitals self-treat (Military Hospital 4).

With the goal of 100% of hospitals in the province in general and Vinh city in particular ensuring the management and treatment of medical waste in accordance with regulations, the Department of Health and relevant agencies have synchronously implemented solutions proposed in the Master Plan for the treatment of hazardous medical solid waste in Nghe An province, period 2012 - 2020, taking into account 2025 as well as Decision No. 2399/QD-UBND.DTXD dated June 12, 2015 of the Provincial People's Committee on approving the plan for medical waste management in Nghe An province for the period 2015-2020.
