Volleyball match raises over 33 million VND to help families in difficult circumstances
(Baonghean.vn) - At the end of the charity volleyball match, the organizers awarded more than 33 million VND to support Mr. Nguyen Huu Hung's family - a household in difficult circumstances in Thanh Duong commune, Thanh Chuong district.
Mr. Hung’s family in Duong Bac hamlet, Thanh Duong commune is considered poor. He himself is in poor health and often gets sick. On the night of July 1, he was involved in a traffic accident on Highway 46, resulting in multiple injuries and had to be hospitalized in critical condition.
With the spirit of "The rich help the poor" and joining hands to support Mr. Hung's family to overcome difficulties and hardships, on the afternoon of July 9, the People's Committee, the Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Duong commune, together with local departments, branches and organizations, organized a charity volleyball match to raise funds.
The volleyball exchange was attended by 4 teams from Thanh Duong commune, Thanh Luong commune, Nguyen Sy Sach High School, Nam Dan town, along with many people coming to cheer and support charity.
Despite the unfavorable weather conditions, the exchange was a great success. The organizers raised 33,900,000 VND to help families in difficult circumstances.
Right at Thanh Duong commune stadium, representatives of the People's Committee, the Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Duong commune and departments, branches and organizations presented this amount of money to Mr. Hung's family.
