(Baonghean.vn) - Many parents work far away, have no means of transportation, are unfamiliar with the area...so teachers at Yen Tinh Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities, in the remote district of Tuong Duong, have replaced the parents in taking their children to take the 10th grade entrance exam this year.

In the 10th grade entrance examYen Tinh Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities(Tuong Duong) has 40 contestants participating in the contest, most of them are children of ethnic minorities and have difficult family circumstances. Among the 40 contestants, there are many whose parents work far away, whose parents do not have transportation, or are unfamiliar with the town area...

Realizing that if the school left the students to their parents, many students would not be able to participate in the competition for various reasons. Faced with this reality, the school organized a meeting with parents to find the best solution so that all students could participate in the competition.

After discussion between the school and parents, almost all parents wanted the school to take their children to the exam. Accordingly, the school mobilized teachers to take the children to the exam. From the school to the exam area, the distance is about 50km. Therefore, the school mobilized teachers' cars to take the children from the school to the break room and from the break room to the exam location.contest, points to the room to ensure the safety of the children while moving. The children are arranged to stay at the hotel. The cost of accommodation and meals of the students is partly supported by the parents, the rest is from the school's budget. The cost of fuel, travel, food and accommodation are all voluntarily contributed by the teachers.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tho - Principal of Yen Tinh Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities said: "If we leave the students to their parents, the school cannot bear it. Some of the students' parents work far away, they live with their elderly grandparents, if there is no support from the school, it is feared that they will have difficulty participating in the exam. Therefore, the school has mobilized all the teachers of the school, each with their own job: picking up the students from home to school, taking them to the exam, then taking care of their food and accommodation, each with their own job to ensure that all the students participate in the exam and do well on the test. The school also arranges for teachers to sleep with the students to supervise and help them review their lessons."

According to Kha Thi Nhi, a 9B student at Yen Tinh Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities, her father passed away when she was not yet in first grade. At the same time, her mother also left to work in China, and has been there ever since. Both her paternal and maternal grandparents have also passed away, so Nhi has had to rely on her uncle who is now old.

Nhi shared: “My uncle is old and cannot take me to the exam. If it weren’t for the teachers, I probably wouldn’t have been able to take the exam this time. When I came here, my friends and I were allowed to stay in a hotel and eat at a restaurant. In addition, the teachers also took me to and from the exam by car. I thank the teachers very much and promise to try my best to do well in the exam to repay them for their efforts.”

Although not related by blood, through actual experience, we can see that the love of teachers for their students is not much different from that of their parents. Not only do they take care of their children's meals and sleep, but when they prepare for exams, teachers also encourage and remind them with care. When the children enter the exam room, the teachers are still outside the gate waiting and looking forward with anxiety and excitement like other fathers and mothers taking their children to exams. When the students finish the exam, they all go to the school yard to welcome them and ask about the exam.
