Hiding from her husband, she gave her child to someone else to raise and then reported it as a kidnapping.
After giving the baby away, Ms. Noi was afraid that her husband and family would object and scold her, so she lied to her husband and the authorities that the baby was kidnapped.
As reported, Ms. Tran Thi Noi (26 years old) and Mr. Bui Van Hoa (43 years old, both living in village 2, Loc Bao commune, Bao Lam district) reported that their son was missing 10 days after birth.
Ms. Noi reported to the authorities that at around 3:30 p.m. on July 21, 2016, she was selling goods at her family's grocery store. At that time, there were only her and the child in the house.

Then a woman in her 50s, about 1.55 m tall, wearing a blue raincoat, helmet and mask, riding a white Sirius motorbike (Yamaha), license plate 49K1… (the following numbers are unknown) stopped by her grocery store to ask for directions and ask to use the restroom.
About 15 minutes later, she went downstairs to check on her child and was shocked when she couldn't find him, so she called everyone and her husband to come back to help search but couldn't find him.
At 4 p.m. the same day, Ms. Noi and her husband went to the authorities to report the incident. In order to track down the missing child, in recent days, Lam Dong Provincial Police have directed the Criminal Investigation Department and Bao Lam District Police to coordinate with the police of districts and cities in the province and neighboring provinces to isolate the suspect and screen all suspicious individuals.
On July 29, the 10-day-old baby boy was found in stable health condition and is being adopted by a family living in Thanh Xuan village (Loc Thanh commune, Bao Loc city).
At the investigation agency, after cross-examining the family that is adopting the child and Ms. Tran Thi Noi (the child's mother), the statements of the two sides were consistent. The family that adopted the child said that they had adopted the child from a woman and that there was no kidnapping.
Bao Lam District Police (Lam Dong) invited Ms. Noi and Mr. Hoa's family to come and work and identify the child. Here, Ms. Noi stated that after giving birth to the baby, due to difficult family conditions and her own mental fatigue and inability to raise the child, she gave the baby to a woman in Loc Thanh Commune (Bao Loc City) to raise.
After giving the child away, Ms. Noi was afraid that her husband and family would object and scold her, so she lied to her husband and the authorities that the child had been kidnapped. The child has now been handed over to the authorities by an adoptive family in Loc Thanh commune.
The authorities also handed over the baby to the family of Mr. Bui Van Hoa and Ms. Tran Thi Noi for care and nurturing.
