Hiding nearly 2 kg of drugs in a can of shrimp paste and sending it by bus from Nghe An to Hanoi
The drugs were carefully wrapped in plastic bags and stored in dark plastic tubes that were sealed at both ends to make them waterproof. They were then hidden in cans of shrimp paste and sent by bus from Nghe An to Hanoi.

Regarding the above case, on March 18, the Hanoi City Police Department issued a decision to temporarily detain Vu Thi La (born in 1985, residing at No. 21, Alley 12, Thai Loi Lane, Bach Mai Ward, Hai Ba Trung District) and Hoang Xuan Hoai (born in 1961, residing at Phan Huy Chu Street, Trung Do Ward, Vinh City, Nghe An Province) for the act of illegally buying and selling drugs.

According to the initial investigation, the subjects only transacted via social networks and transferred money via bank accounts without directly meeting to transact. In addition, the receiving location was chosen in the border area between Hanoi City and Ha Nam Province. When the drugs were delivered to the receiving location, the main subject hired a motorbike taxi to pick up the goods and take them home to avoid the authorities.

Previously, at 8:40 p.m. on March 9, in the Bach Mai area, Hai Ba Trung district, Team 2 coordinated with the professional unit to conduct an inspection and bring the subjects to Bach Mai Ward Police. Through inspection, it was discovered that in the plastic basket that Vu Thi La was carrying, there were 4 plastic bags containing white crystals and 2 plastic cans containing shrimp paste, in each plastic can there were 9 gray plastic tubes, inside each plastic tube there was 1 plastic package containing white crystals. The appraisal result was that the Methamphetamine weighed 1,761.24 grams.
The Drug Crime Investigation Department of Hanoi City Police has made a record of arresting Vu Thi La red-handed for illegal drug trafficking, and at the same time executed an emergency search warrant at La's residence.

During the investigation, La confessed that he had bought the above drugs from Hoai. Based on La's testimony, under the direction of Colonel Truong Tho Toan - Head of the Drug Crime Investigation Department, a working group went to Nghe An to arrest Hoang Xuan Hoai. The search of Hoang Xuan Hoai's residence resulted in the seizure of 174.68 grams of Methamphetamine; 120,000,000 VND. Total evidence seized: 1,935.87 grams of Methamphetamine; 120,000,000 VND along with a number of other related objects and assets.
Before becoming a defendant in this case, Hoai was a lecturer at a university. Due to business losses and debt, Hoai connected with La, forming an inter-provincial drug trafficking ring. The case is currently being investigated and clarified.
