Previously, the investigation agency received a complaint from LTUM (born in 2001, living at the same address as Thang). On the afternoon of July 26, 2016, Thang, M. and some other young men went to herd buffalo. Thang went to the place where M. let the buffalo out to sit and talk.

Thang turned on the music and gave the phone to M. to hold, then groped her. Seeing that M. did not react, Thang took advantage of the situation and put his hand into M.'s pants.
